Larry Winter, a representative from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, has been recognized as the top performer for 2005 among the organization's 2,500 financial representatives.

Winter will be among 25 financial representatives invited to attend the Pinnacle Leadership Retreat sponsored by Thrivent Financial in April. Winter joined the organization in 1984 and is with Thrivent Financial's Pacific Southwest Regional Financial Office in Woodland Hills. He serves members and their families in Thousand Oaks and surrounding communities.

Morger is public relations director for Bunnin Automotive Group, which includes six dealerships, four of them in Oxnard. During his three years with Bunnin, Morger's responsibilities have included dealership sponsorships, promotions and community outreach.

In addition to his service with the Oxnard Chamber, Morger has served as an advisory board member and golf chairman for Caregivers of Ventura County.

He is also a past member of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce board of directors, Boys & Girls Club of Ventura, American Lung Association of Ventura County and past chairman of the Pierpont Racquet Club in Ventura.

New chamber board members include Judy Keer of Herzog Wine Cellars, Juan Torres of Torres Medical Group, Steven Yapp of PODS and Peter Zierhut of Haas Automation.

The goal of the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce is to promote the business and economic well-being of the city's diverse community to benefit its enterprises, big and small, through advocacy, services and education, business exposure and promotional opportunities.
