St. John Baptist Church, 1701 W. Jefferson St. in Grand Prairie, will have a Walk/Run and Health Fair today. The walk/run will be from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., followed by the health fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will offer various health and dental screenings, immunizations, Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program information and more.
The Duncanville Area Retired School Employees will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Crescent Point Retirement Community, 235 W. Pleasant Run Road in Cedar Hill. A program, "The Break Down Lane," will follow a brief meeting. A luncheon will also be held.

Cedar Valley College's Family Music Theatre will present Disney's Beauty and the Beast on select dates throughout March. Three free Texas SmartScape Month events will be offered in Grand Prairie. The events aim to help homeowners learn to use native and adapted plants that require less water, fertilizers and pesticides to beautify their yards. The International Museum of Cultures will kick off celebrating its 25th anniversary with the Orville Rogers Run for the Hills 5K Run/1.5 Mile Walk on March 18. A new exhibit, "Yours a Task to Finish," focusing on the life and work of Cameron Townsend, founder of Wycliffe Bible Translators and the International Linguistics Center, formerly SIL Inc., will be at 2 p.m. April 1. Ladies of the board of trustees will host a tea at 4 p.m. April 4 for individuals interested in becoming a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Museum.
