They've been fierce rivals at the conference level for the last three seasons, but now the Aquinas Flames and Oakridge Oaks have a chance to take it to the provincial stage.

The Flames earned their way in as TVRAA and WOSSAA champs and are looking for their first medal finish since winning gold in Peterborough in 2002.

"We were playing OK at the start of the season, but these guys have come together as the season's progressed and now the goals are starting to come," said Flames coach Mary Dundas. "Players like Brittany Mulligan are stepping up and (goaltender) Amanda Mazzotta is always there.

Also in the tournament are the Lambton Central Lancers. The Petrolia school won A/AA silver in 2003 but is unseeded this time, something that sits fine with coach Roger Sparks.

Schedule: Round-robin games start today at 8 a.m.; quarter-finals tomorrow starting at 1:30 p.m.; semifinals Thursday at 8 and 8:15 a.m., bronze-medal game at 12:30 p.m., final at 2:30 p.m. All games at Nichols Arena.
