Medical City will present a day of health and fitness activities from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday on the Medical City one-mile fitness trail at the Dallas Arboretum. Medical City personnel will be on hand to do health screenings and pass out health information.
Children's author Christine Ford will host a workshop on how to write a children's picture book from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at 623 Windgate Court in Arlington. The Dallas Alumnae Panhellenic Association is offering scholarships to graduating senior girls. To qualify, the girls must attend high school within the city of Dallas and plan to attend a Texas college or university in the fall. Each applicant's choice of college or university must have a National Panhellenic Council social sorority. Applications must be received no later than Friday.
